We got our first dairy goat because we felt they would be easier for our children to manage than a cow and we weren't certain we could actually consume all the milk a cow would produce. The goats have been such a great fit for our family that we have decided not to get a dairy cow even though at this point our family has grown to the point that we might be able to use all the milk.

We keep a few dairy does and take care of them as organically as possible. Our children take care of the goats and do all the milking. We let the does raise their own kids and love watching them mother their little ones.

Our herd has been tested for TB, Brucelosis and CAE, but we have always allowed buyers to pay for any testing as they see fit before purchase and we periodically retest ourselves as well. Other than sending them to be bred at Fruitful Acres or bringing one of their bucks here to breed our does, they have no contact with any other goats and have remained free from abscesses or any other diseases every time they've been tested.

We do sell all the kids born every year or sell an adult so we can keep a kid because we're happy with a small, manageable herd that meets our needs. We hope that you enjoy any goats you purchase from us and that they bless your family as much as they and their relatives have blessed ours.
